Here is her lovely twins !!! Two beautiful Doelings…Girls!!!
On June 10th we had an incredible thunderstorm and both June and Jill had their twins on the same night!!! These two babies of Jill’s are so cute. As you know, she is a Nigerian / French Alpine dwarf and so her babies are so small and so cute!! They are certainly going to be enjoyed by all the guests!! We are so happy that they are now a part of our farm animal family!!! Welcome!!
Centre Alumni, Sarah with daughters Lucy (7), Sophie (5), and Cora (3), step up to help with the bottle feeding of our newest member Peanut Brittle!! Our thanks to them and all of our other guests that are helping feed her many times everyday….Sometimes, the mother just can’t or won’t help take care of her babies. In this case, Almond does have 2 others to feed, too. So, keep up the great work…or is it really work???
How about helping us name this new baby goat!! Oh, by the way, she has a twin sister!!! So, we need 2 girl names!!! Just email me email@example.com your twin girl goat name suggestions!!!
A recent guest milks Chanel—the French Alpine goat!!
Here is a great picture of a recent guest to The Farm, LLC milking one of the favorite goats, named Chanel!! Everyday there is an opportunity to milk the goats. Some days we will take the milk and turn it into home made ice cream for the evening supper dessert!!
Tonight’s delicious supper!!
Look at tonight’s delicious supper meal! Country Fried Catfish with home grown corn, home made cole slaw, steamed carrots and brocolli and cornbread johnny cakes. Not in the picture for dessert is delicious Apple Crisp with goat’s milk ice cream. ( Ice cream made from the goat’s milk right here at The Farm, LLC.)
Jack and Jill looking for shade!!
When the temperature is 99 degrees….who cares if the water is muddy!!!! Today Jack and Jill , brother and sister of a French Alpine dam and a registered Nigerian Dwarf sire, were playing around the duck ponds and enjoying a brief moment of shade from the extreme temperatures. They were happy to come to me when they saw I had a handful of corn for them. Jack & Jill are terrific fun!
Robin and Carolyn from New York are here milking Goats for the first time!!!!
Recently we had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful guests from New York. They loved milking the goats and then making homemade goat milk ice cream. It was a unique experience for them as we fed the goats, milked the goats, stained the goat milk, cooked the goat milk, then turned into delicious goat milk ice cream. Goat to bowl….such fun! Come back soon Robin and Carolyn!!
